Tot School!

We had lots of fun at Tot School this week! Lily is 3 (43 months) and Cort is 1 (18 months).

We read Snip, Snip, Snow by Nancy Poydar. Lily especially loved it. I highly recommend the book. It had cute instructions at the end on how to make your own snowflake. I love it when books come with art suggestions, too! It was a perfect book for a snowy afternoon.

After Lily made her snowflake, she wanted to color it and made a beautiful creation!

Another favorite of both kids is the Melissa and Doug Food Set. As we speak, Lily has a notebook and pen and is drawing up a menu for a lunch she wants to make me. I love toys that encourage imagination!

One of Lily's favorite things to do is paint. I am going to collect some different textured items for her to use as brushes next week. Any suggestions?

Cort loves his magnet sets! He is enjoying the LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set and the Leap Frog alphabet as well.

Lily also went ice skating for the first time this week! She loved it and had so much fun. She used something to hold on to for awhile, but then ventured off on her own. She did such a good job. Within five minutes she was yelling faster! We will definitely go again!

Next week I want to do more winter learning activities. What are some of your favorites for toddlers?
